I am very excited to announce a special offer for the month of February… a free 2 hour photographic session for all artists, writers & musicians! And this isn’t one of those scammy things where you get a free sitting then pay through the nose for the prints. I will also give you 5 high res digital files to use as and when you need. It’s simple really. I want to build my portfolio of creative portraiture and I thought this would be a great way to do it. (Oh one thing though… I would like a credit anywhere that the images are used. Thank you!)
The offer extends to the Blue Mountains, Central West & Sydney regions and sittings need to take place during the day as I’m all about natural lighting.
That’s it! No strings attached. You can contact me through my website or call me on 0407 813 881.
I look forward to creating some beautiful images with you :)
Last week a friend and I ventured out to the Hartley Valley, wanting to take photos of the bush after the recent fires. I’m not exactly sure what I was expecting to see but the first thing that struck me was how quickly the bush regenerates. It’s like it experiences this incredible trauma and then picks itself up, dusts itself off and gets on with the business of starting anew. It’s incredibly inspiring stuff. The colours were amazing… blackened tree trunks amidst the ochres of the scorched leaves… and then the contrast of the vibrant new growth in almost unbelievable shades of green. I have to say it was quite a moving experience and I’ve come away with a deepened respect and wonderment of nature and its strength and beauty.
I am seriously behind on my blogging (!!) but the new year brings with it a strengthened resolve for me to be a better blogger, amongst other things.
These shots were taken back in August at the Katoomba Theatre Company’s fundraiser… a very glamourous evening held in the beautiful dining room at The Carrington with special guest Ita Buttrose.
Well, third year running and yet another very successful year for the Blue Mountains Film Festival.
It’s such a great local event and I was chuffed to be asked to take on the role of official photographer for 2013. I invited my lovely friend and fellow photographer Mandy Schoene-Salter to help me out for the festival and together we gathered some great shots.
Here’s a selection of some of my favourites…
